Full Mental Health First Aider® Certificate 

2 days face to face or 4 half days online 
Who's it for? 
Ideal for anyone in HR, Management, Team Leading, Health & Safety, Wellbeing or anyone who has an interest in mental health and would like to become a MHFAider®. 
 
You will gain the practical skills, knowledge, awareness and confidence to have conversations about mental health, challenge stigma and prejudice, help those in a crisis and signpost to appropriate support. 
This course covers: 
Looking at mental health and the MHFAider® role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality. 
Understanding the influences of mental health including language and stigma. 
A practical framework to guide conversations around mental health including what to do in a crisis and how to signpost to appropriate help. 
Recognising early signs of poor mental health, mental illness and suicide ideation. 
The importance of active listening and empathy. 
Practising self-care. 
Each learner receives access to: 
A hardcopy Workbook to use throughout the course 
A digital Manual for reference after the course. 
The MHFAider Support App® provided by MHFA England™ with features such as a 24/7 text support service, signposting to a national database of health services, and insights that teach critical self-care skills. 
A digital attendance certificate valid for 3 years. 
Invitation to become a member of the Association of Mental Health First Aiders® to access ongoing benefits.

Mental Health Aware 

Half day course, online or face to face 
Who's it for? 
Ideal for anyone who wants to find out more about mental health and how to support others. 
 
An introductory session designed to increase mental health awareness; help challenge stigma and discrimination; learn how to start a conversation with someone experiencing mental health issues and look after your wellbeing. 
This course covers: 
Raising awareness and mental health literacy. 
A basic knowledge of common mental health issues. 
An understanding of the factors that affect mental health. 
Identifying the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health issues. 
Increasing knowledge and confidence to start mental health conversations. 
The importance of looking after your own mental health. 
Each learner receives access to: 
Each delegate receives a Manual and Workbook full of information and resources to support mental health issues. 
 
An attendance certificate is provided to show that you are Mental Health Aware.

Who's it for? 
Mental health in the workplace is a big deal. Not just because it impacts productivity and engagement but because we're all human beings first and workers second. 
 
This course is designed for anyone who manages others, honing their skills, knowledge and confidence to have meaningful and supportive conversations with their employees. 
Managers will learn how to: 
Spot the signs of poor mental health. 
Confidently open conversations about mental health at work. 
Signpost employees to available support, and know how to access it for themselves. 
Become a role model for good self-care practice.

Mental Health First Aid® Champion Course 

One day course, face to face or two half day sessions online 
Who's it for? 
Ideal for anyone in the workplace, in HR, Management, Health & Safety, Wellbeing or anyone who has an interest in mental health and does not want to become a MHFAider®. 
This course covers: 
Defining mental health. 
Recognition of the main signs and symptoms of common mental health issues. 
Provision of knowledge and building of confidence to advocate for mental health awareness. 
Provision of skills to support positive wellbeing. 
Knowledge of providing initial support. 
Development of an understanding of how to create and maintain a healthier workplace culture. 
Each learner receives access to: 
Each delegate receives a Manual and Workbook full of information and resources to support mental health issues and illness. 
 
They are also given a pdf copy of the Line Manager’s Resource which is an invaluable source of advice and information on how to support an employee experiencing mental ill health. 
 
A certificate is provided to show that they a MHFA Champion.

MHFA Refresher 

Half day course, online or face to face 
Who's it for? 
A MHFAider® qualification is valid for three years, after which you are expected to refresh your skills and knowledge as you would if you were a physical First Aider. You can renew your certificate either by attending a full MHFA course as outlined above or this half day Refresher. 
 
This course is suitable for anyone who is already trained as a MHFAider®, MHFA Champion or who has a Level 3 mental health qualification i.e. FutureQuals Level 3 Award in Mental Health: Workplace First Aider or FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) 
This course is designed to: 
Update and refresh your knowledge and awareness of mental health. 
Revisit the skills of being a MHFAider® and practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan. 
Validate your current practice and support your confidence moving forward. 
Highlight the current Professional support available. 
Focus on the importance of self-care. 
Each learner receives access to: 
After completing this MHFA Refresher course, you will receive a certificate, valid for three years and invited to become or stay a member of the Association of Mental Health First Aiders® which gives you access to benefits including the MHFAider Support App®.

One to one Coaching support for MHFAiders® 

Course Overview 
Mental health first aider can be a challenging role. You’re on the front line of offering emotional support. But who supports you? 
 
This coaching provides you with a safe confidential space to process your experiences, with guidance to hone your MHFAider® skills and provide validation and support for the vital work you do, as well as consider strategies for protecting your own mental wellbeing. 
Topics Covered 
You’ve had a difficult conversation and it’s left you feeling unnerved and shaken. 
You’re uncertain as to whether you did or said the right thing. 
Someone revealed thoughts of suicide and whilst you’ve dealt with it appropriately, its affected you to a point of preoccupying your thoughts, affecting your concentrationand interrupting your sleep.
